Alpina Partners acquires stake in NEW SOLUTIONS

Alpina Partners (“ALPINA”) have acquired a stake in New Solutions GmbH (“NEW SOLUTIONS”). The company from Burghausen in Upper Bavaria is a leading provider of software solutions for the digitization of business processes on the “shop floor”. The founder Christian Ehrenschwendtner will remain with the company as managing partner.

Since it was founded in 1999, NEW SOLUTIONS has developed into a leading provider of software solutions for the digitization of production-related processes in which employees, machines and external partners from industrial companies are involved. With the digital shift book “FINITO”, the company offers a modular, web-based and therefore cross-plant and cross-company shift book solution – hand-written shift logs are thus superfluous. The company also offers the “CHECKWARE” software solution for electronic checklists and forms. “SYNOSET”, a software for the holistic management of technical assets for medium-sized companies through to large-scale industry, rounds off the solution portfolio. NEW SOLUTIONS also offers maintenance and individual consulting services. Long-term customers include leading companies from various industries (e.g. Total, Lanxess, Evonik or OMV) as well as small and medium-sized companies.

With the participation of ALPINA the establishment of a group of companies around the topic of “Shop Floor IT” in the context of “Industry 4.0”, which is characterized by sustainable growth and innovation, is being pushed forward. The product and service portfolio is to be continuously expanded. In addition to the planned organic growth, further targeted acquisitions (“buy-and-build”) are also planned. The foundation stone was laid in December 2016 with the participation in GEFASOFT, a leading provider of MES solutions (“Manufacturing Execution Systems”), and in June 2017 with the carve-out of the software division from ASI Datamyte, a leading provider in the CAQ sector (“Computer Aided Quality Assurance”).
